The wizard will search your network until it detects a router, or times out. Once it has detected your router the wizard will move to the next step automatically. The wizard will now confirm the User name and Password for the router, this is the username and password that you would use to access the router's web interface. We recommend using a secure password - for example your ADSL password. Once you have entered the details, click OK to continue, If this stage is skipped the wizard will have used the default username of Administrator and a blank password.

The wizard will now display information for the router it has detected on your network. Once you have confirmed this is the router you wish to upgrade you must select a firmware image to update the router with. As standard the wizard will have no firmware images available in the list above.

To continue click Have Disk. Click Browse to locate the new firmware upgrade file. Browse to the location where you saved the firmware file. File names will vary depending on the router and firmware you are using. Once you have selected the firmware file click Open. The wizard will now check that the file is a valid firmware image to update the router with. The list will now contain the details of the firmware the that wizard will use. Once you confirm that this is the firmware you want to use click Next to continue.

The upgrade process may take some time. Please do not disconnect the router during this period. If the upgrade fails wait two minutes for the router to restart then click Back until you reach the start the upgrade process again. The wizard will now confirm that the upgrade has been completed.
